CEA is seeking to establish a network of solicitors, barristers, legal academics, retired judicial officers, and other suitably qualified legal professionals who are willing to work alongside the organisation as trusted professional partners.
The purpose of the network
Is to ensure that where legal expertise is required in connection with a CEA matter, the organisation has access to practitioners who understand the nature of our work and the unique issues that may arise within the cases we review.
Practitioners engaged by CEA are on a fee-for-service basis, retained to provide specialist advice, contracted to undertake specific legal work, or invited to contribute to broader organisational initiatives.
CEA recognises
The value of professional legal expertise and anticipates that most engagements will occur on a commercial basis. However, as a charitable organisation working with families who may face significant financial barriers, we also welcome practitioners who, at their discretion, may be willing to offer pro bono or reduced-fee assistance in appropriate circumstances.
While such assistance is greatly appreciated, participation in the CEA Legal Network is not dependent upon the provision of pro bono services.
