Coronial Equity Alliance (CEA) is a Queensland-based charitable organisation established to review alleged misclassified male suicides and advocate for families seeking an independent review of the circumstances surrounding the passing of a male loved one.
The Purpose
CEA is establishing a statewide network of psychologists and counsellors.
The purpose of this network is to create a trusted central location where individuals, families and general practitioners can identify professional support services without having to navigate countless websites, directories and referral options.
Why We Are Building This Network
Accessing professional support in a timely manner should not be a barrier.
When a family receives a phone call or that dreaded knock at the door, the one that delivers floor-dropping agony and changes their lives forever.
Yet at the very time support may be needed most, families often encounter delays, financial constraints, waiting periods and the exhausting task of trying to find a psychologist or counsellor who is available.
All the while, many simply want to pull the blankets over their heads and never get out of bed. Instead, they find themselves navigating an exhausting process whilst already debilitated and exhausted by grief. They are required to

It is not uncommon for appointments to be missed, delayed or abandoned altogether because the process itself becomes overwhelming.
CEA is building the Practitioner Network to reduce those barriers.
We want people to be able to come to one trusted location and identify qualified professionals who are accessible, available and ready to help.
We want general practitioners to have a trusted network they can confidently refer to.
We want every individual and family, regardless of whether they live in a major city, regional Queensland or a remote community, to have access to professional support through telehealth and video consultation services.
Most importantly, we want to make it easier for people to access support where, when and how they need it.
What We Are Building
The CEA Practitioner Network is intended to be a trusted network of psychologists and counsellors who understand the importance of timely access to support and who are committed to making their services available through accessible delivery methods, including telehealth and video consultation services.
The network will provide individuals, families and general practitioners with a single location where professional support services can be identified quickly and confidently.
Rather than spending hours searching online, comparing websites and contacting multiple practices, people will be able to access a trusted network of professionals from one location.
