If you hold information about the death of a male in Queensland and believe that death was wrongly recorded, reported, or accepted as suicide, you are welcome to share it with CEA.
CEA reviews suspected misclassified male suicides.
Coming Forward
Coming forward can feel frightening. You may have kept quiet because you were scared, pressured, confused, dismissed, threatened, or simply did not know who to trust.
You may have carried this for a long time.
You do not need to have all the answers. You may have seen something, heard something, noticed something, received messages, kept records, or become aware of information that has never sat right with you.
Assist CEA
What you know may assist CEA to understand whether something was missed, overlooked, misunderstood, or never properly considered.
A Safe Place
Telling CEA gives you somewhere safe to place what you have been carrying. Your information will be received respectfully, recorded carefully, and handled appropriately, with regard to your safety, privacy, and the sensitivity of what you share.
It can also assist a family who has been left trying to understand what happened to someone they love.
Provide Information
CEA will receive your information with care, respect, and discretion. You can provide information anonymously, by using a pseudonym, confidentially but contactable, or by identifying yourself.
Tell Us Clearly
Please tell us what you know as clearly as you can. It helps to separate what you saw, heard, or experienced yourself from what you believe, suspect, or were told by someone else.
Safety, Protection, Integrity
For your safety, and to protect the integrity of any review or future process, please do not try to investigate the matter yourself. Do not contact witnesses, approach family members or persons of concern, access private accounts, change records, publish allegations, or obtain information unlawfully.
Handling your Material
If you already hold documents, messages, photographs, digital material, or other records, keep the originals safe. Do not edit, crop, delete, forward, or publicly share them.
